Haha, close enough! My wheels are 16X7. Motegi has since discontinued these forged wheels but they weigh only 12.5 lbs each. The tires are 205/45-16 Hankook Ventus V2s. They are great for commuting in terms of minimal road noise and long tire life but they are no where near as sticky as the Direzza 2. How are you enjoying your wheel/tire set-up so far, any regrets? I'm still debating whether I should get the Direzza 2s in 225/45 or just stick with 205/45 but go with Continental Extremecontact DWS.

Split the difference and go with the Kumho Ecsta XS. They come in a 215/45-16. I was going to go with them, but decided to try the Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 in a 205/45-16 first. Will probably get the Kumho's next go round.

The 215/45-16 Kumho XS was what I initially wanted. I still have some life left in my Hankooks but I'll probably end up going with the Kumhos. Too bad the 215/45-16 is such a rare size from all tire manufacturers.

Do you see a lot more grip/less tire spin with the 215s on 17x7.5 vs the stock 205s on 17x7s? I'm upgrading my wheels soon and i would like to go wider 17x7.5 but i'm having trouble justifying a 5% increase in tire width when i could just save money and keep my stock tires and just get 17x7 instead.

Thinking of going with a ROTA 16X7 too...not sure which one though. I remember when Polished lips were cool, I also remember putting 15 inch wheels on my 1988 GTI 16V...that was a big back then.

Local guys ran over 125 autocross runs last season and daily driven the Direzzas, so they can go far more than 8000 miles...

I had 88 runs and a long drive to the dragon (including very aggressive driving there) on my Z2's and they were ready to be flipped
