I get no banging or knocking when on the road or track with my Rock Auto honda/Acura exhaust hangers . Personally I like my tips up in tight

I guess it is just not possible to have a work in progress on this site. :(

I didn't mean to offend, I was just curious. You have one of the best looking fiestas I've seen. I fully understand works in progress, I once drove around a truck with just a rear lift installed, waiting on the correct front kit to come in.
And your exhaust from the upper angle shot, it looks normal, I wouldn't have noticed.

    I thank you for that.

It is getting more difficult to get things done to the car that I want.
Not only physically more difficult as I get older but I need to do things when my wife is not home.
Also I need to use my "Mad Money", called that because if she knew I had it, she would be MAD.

Anyway, I raised the tips another 3/4 inch then went out to test.
Sorry I don't do You Tube so you will just need to stream from my site.

This road is within 5 minutes of my house.

    Mad Money, lol.
I know the feeling, I have just fitted a exhaust while my wife is overseas.

I'm interested in what the dyno results are for the catback only with no other changes. Was a dyno run ever done with that configuration?

Its my understanding that any change would be very slight unless the downpipe and tune are changed.

A bigger exhaust is installed mostly for sound or in anticipation of more power later.

On most of today's cars sadly you are right. However from my perspective as an autocrosser even 5-6 hp would be significant enough to spend the money so I figured it would be worth asking.

I have chased the dyno before.
It is nothing more than a tremendous waist of money.
I refuse to get caught up in that again.

I mod my car because it is what I like to do.
If my car performs better then that is great too.
If someone wants to know what my car does on a dyno then they can pay for it.

As it has been stated before this 3 inch exhaust is NOT very loud but provides a GREAT deep tone.
    This is true.
Now if you want all of the performance and NONE of the noise inside, just finish the right side of the cargo area with sound deadening material.
I used R-Blox because I had enough but Dynomat is just as good.

Mine is loud. And i get drone/vibration in the car at around 3k rpm. I feel it on my back. Its also kinda deafening. The low tone is pretty loud at low rpm. Not sure what part the resonator plays in this. Checked twice to see if pipe is touching the chassis and its not. Dave do you get drone/vibration in the car?.

Only under hard acceleration do I get the slighter louder deep tone.
Under normal cruse you can hardly notice it is there.
I have been driving for weeks now and no issues.

    What downpipe are you using?.

Stock DP. Damn does it get quieter, louder or the same when it breaks in?

All I can say is check again to see if it is hitting somewhere.
The most likely place is at the center cross brace.

Theres a 1/4" space between the brace and pipe. My installer purposely put some spacers on the bolts to prevent touching.
