Maybe you are trying to discredit Randy Robles' tunes because you are Freaktuned? Who knows, who cares...

I never said you bumped this thread. You either fail at comprehension or just like adding words/meanings to what other people say...

And no, I have no need or desire to try and discredit Randy. He's been a valuable asset to this and other communities that I've been part of, and he's good at what he does. Lots of my friends have his tune and love it. Just because I went another route doesn't mean that I think he's bad.

And...you can pump 93 octane into your car, and it could really be water, and that means 0 octane...you're a boob

Additives and blends for different seasons and ethanol being added can play a part. I see it in the data all the time. For example, ethanol free 91 octane gas looks a heck of a lot better than E10 91 octane gas when you compare the data. Regardless of the actual octane reading, the additives can have an impact on the knock threshold. There's no question about it.

No, this is where Ford Fiesta ST owners hang to talk about their cars and what they are experiencing...enough said

To make things better, it sounds like the plugs you ordered to fix your problem because "SCIENCE!" are actually not even suitable replacements for the OEM plugs. Coupled with you finding out that you had a tune issue, I'll re-quote my advice in the first post (bold added)-

So I give you the advice that is exactly what you later find to be true, and I'm the one that's lost...

Fwiw, I don't think running a 91 octane tune on 93 octane fuel is an acceptable solution. It will work of course, but it makes more sense to be tuned for the fuel you're running-financially speaking, anyways. If you have to run the 91 tune then I would run 91 fuel, and if it begins knocking again then get back with Randy to have it corrected. If you plan on tuning 93 then get your 93 tune corrected.

On deaf ears of course, but advice nonetheless.
