I guess I'll be the first guinea pig to try. It is a bit of expensive experiment..

Right. I actually requested LHD pattern from forpartsuk.com and they built a quote for me. However, something bothering me is if the headlight mounting point will be the same.. I hear it was an issue for previous model Fiesta

That is just one of the points we are just not sure of.
I honestly don't think this will be a problem.
This is why we applaud your actions.

Dave, do you happen to know the part number for that relay you used when you wired up your fog as the drl?

    Thanks Dave,

This should be a big help once I get my headlights in and everything fitment wise goes smoothly.
Did you plug it into the open relay slot right next to the fog relay?

I'm thinking if it would be better if I just tap the wires for the DRL from other fuses that turn on when engine is running. Such as.. fuel pump?

    That's great.
Check the physical mount but I was thinking that even if the connector is the same the wiring may be different.
Do you have or can you get the pin-out of the Euro connector?
I have the pin-out for the US spec.

Here is the photo as promised.
By setting it up this way.
I can remove the two relays (at R11 & R12) and the Fuse Tap.
Replace with untapped Fog Light Relay at R11.
And is then as if the mod never happened.

I wonder what fuse rating i should use for the drl part? Perhaps a 25a?

Can you get a copy of the Owner's Manual for the UK car?
    It should be in there.
They are LEDs so it should be very high.
I would think, no more than 10A.
