Welcome to the forum. I worked in Dearborn for 29 years and lived there for 10. Now I'm in Westland and have been here for 23 years. I've got Pirelli Snow Control II's in a 195/45-16 mounted on some black Motegis. But my car is AWOL. OK, maybe AWL as I try to get this 2002 Focus running again (my son's car).

I also work in Dearborn with 195/45-16 Pirelli winter 210 snowcontrol tyres on SVT Contour wheels.

Hey guys! I live in Livonia, work in Farmington Hills, but drive all over Metro Detroit. I've seen one or two Fiesta ST's on the road, but not since I've had mine. And I'm rocking the BBS knockoff style Sport Edition 14-spoke silver 15" wheels with Dunlop Winter Maxx tires. So far, 1100 miles in they've been doing great!

Are you guys running premium in your cars these winter days? I've filled up with regular twice. I figure I don't need max boost right now, and the car seems totally happy.

Nothing but premium for me. I even ran it in my SES with CAI and it made a difference there too!

    have only used 93 octane

  11. I run the cheap stuff. I don't plan to buy premium until the roads clear, then I plan to take some measurements to see how real world fuel economy responds under MY foot. As you guys know, the weather has been consistently nasty since THE DAY I PICKED UP MY CAR, ARGH :headbang:

But I LOVE my winter tires.

  12. I'm curious what those BBS knockoffs look like. Can you provide a link or picture?

  14. Ah, thanks, I've seen those. I think they were the recommended wheel when I ordered from Tire Rack. Maybe I'll switch from my cheap black steelies before next winter hits.

Wow many more Michiganders on this forum than .org. I am living in downriver but I drive to wixom everyday. I am on 195/55R-15 Michelin X-Ice Xi3 on MSW Type 19 wheels since the day I bought her.
