Not sure what record they're referring to but that is an impressive weight for that much power.
I don't disagree that it's light for the power, but after autocrossing a Corvette Z06 a few years ago you can still feel the weight no matter how powerful or well balanced the car is. For me, light weight has become a primary consideration and then power/weight ratio next.
At 1500kg or 3300ish lbs at 400 plus hp its on target for the New Mustang. But like you say its still heavy in a tight AutoX course
I enjoy a light car as much as you guys but this car will surely smoke the FiST on nearly any course. RWD, almost double the power to weight and 3300 isn't heavy enough to be in boat status.
Its a real improvement if you compare to the predecessor M3 and a step in the right direction.
