So do I absolutely NEED the high-flo cat that comes with the stage 3 kit? Already have a 3" cat-back

    So I can't run a stage 3 tune?

So you're saying you want to run stage 3 but still have the stock DP/cat?

I mean high flow cats generally aren't worth it

You'd be surprised how much they matter on turbo cars

Because I just shelled out $1700+ on the fmic, hard pipe kit, intake and ap v3

It would only be stage 3 91 octane

You can run the stage 3, but you won't get the performance intended without the high flow DP, regardless of whether it has a cat or no cat. The oem DP is terrible for good exhaust flow. The oem cat itself isn't the problem...

This is turbocharger 101 information. Just search for the actual data and don't bother with opinions...

Any high flow DP will do, ATP makes one for $250 and so does 2JR for $250 as well. (these are both without a cat but the ones with a cat are way more competitively priced compared to others)

Just be careful about the catless DP. You will get a tad bit of over boost.

Check out depo racing also. I just got their catless one for 179.99 no issues at all and good quality. Only 279.99 for a high flow catted version

I've seen .5 to .9 PSI of overboost with my 2J-R catted it can happen with a well designed catted version as well. I don't mind it cause it's not extreme and the AFR stay well within reason.
