What are you guys running for tire pressure on the stock Fiesta ST tires? I mean for daily driving.
I run 39 psi front and 35 psi for rear, but that based off the sticker on the door jam.
35 all around on my dailys
I fill mine to 45psi on Autox days and just leave them there for DD.
FWIW, for commuting I always run 2 psi over factory recommendations.
It gives me a small buffer for when the tires lose air due natural loss or air temperature changes, gives a bit better gas mileage, and handles a tiny bit better. I've never had any abnormal wear problems. The only downside I can see is that ride & noise may suffer. But since I've never run it any other way, I'll never know the difference.
For daily commuting 40F, 38R.
Probably important for handling characteristics to keep the recommended differential between front and rear. One of the reasons Corvairs got a reputation for such evil handling (aside from the Nader hatchet job that is) is because the Chevrolet said to fill the tires differently front and rear. Most people didn't. The Healey is the same, as it is "tail happy" and keeping the four pound differential with it (and the sway bar!) helps keep it in check. Those who use their cars in competition can fill us in better.
